The Benchmarking Tool is intended for football clubs to highlight some of the areas that can be considered as social responsibility; and to help identify areas in which improvements can be made. Social Responsibility Indicators We have developed a set of indicators – the same as have been used for our annual social responsibility football league ranking – for relevant football and social responsibility issues, according to good practices and existing international standards. Clubs can use these indicators to perform a self-assessment and benchmark their results against a collective score of other clubs, with the option of selecting interchangeable criteria, such as club size and country. A holistic approach The Benchmarking Tool should work hand-in-hand with the Good Practice database, allowing clubs that have identified an area in which they would like to improve, or simply find out more about, to browse current good practices being used by other clubs. The ultimate goal is for clubs to use all of the resources available through RESPONSIBALL – including the Community section, Discussion Forum and News & Library – to develop programmes that demonstrate an understanding of what works, how, for whom, and in which context.
